Prague Food Tips

Atelier Red Wine restaurant

Atelier Red Wine restaurant

Sometimes, we have a feeling that we have already found our favorite restaurants in Prague, returning there quite often for our popular meals and think that there can not be any other better place. How foolish we are… Our visit of Atelier Red & Wine restaurant has changed our ranking of the best restaurants in Prague! :-)

A restaurant hidden in the back street in Prague 5 under the Petrin hill is not new on Prague gastronomic scene (before you could find it in Vrsovice district in Prague 10), but we just managed to discovered it now.
We were pleasantly surprised by their attention for the perfect service as soon as we had entered the restaurant. The owner himself welcomed us, explained meals on their seasonal & special menu and helped us to select the best. Their menu is shorter with a nice selection of sea food and fish. As the restaurant´s name suggests, a good wine plays very important role here. You can select from nice variety of Czech, Austrian, French and Italian, Serbian, Spanish wines and staff was ready to advise us with the best choice to pair it with our selected courses.
We started with foie gras that owners select personally in France and marinated grilled peppers with sheep´s cheese sprinkled with drops of olive oil. Then we continued with seabream baked with vegetables and potatoes, white wine and fresh herbs and sword fish steak with vegetables with white wine sauce, mussels and tarragon. Every meal was delicious and elaborated into the last detail. Though we were full, we could not resist their dessert menu and on the staff´s recommendation we tried caramel cookie cream (in a cannoli) with nougat, becherovka (traditional Czech digestive) and fruits. We stopped talking (literally) how good it was.
Our dinner here was the best foodie & wine experience in last months. We highly recommend to visit!
